telescope eyepiece?
i have an old telescope that uses a .956" eyepiece
and i was going to get a new one ((i only have one that works with that telescope))
and i want to know what would be better
a 4mm Tasco or Celestron?
Pretty much all of those 4mm .965 eyepieces are junk, and usually produce too high a magnification. A 4mm eyepiece is of limited value in scopes longer than f/6, and too much power for those longer than f/8. and if it's marked "SR4", it's junk. Your highest power eyepiece should produce a magnification no more than 2x per millimeter of aperture.
There are some good to excellent old Japanese orthoscopic eyepieces in .965", but your best option, assuming this is a refractor, is probably to get a hybrid diagonal that will accept 1.25" eyepieces.
